Help Stop PDVSA-Iran-Cuba Secret Nuke Missile Genocide Plot

Someone asked me to comment on this e-mail. The note itself, with its conspiracist, telling-you-what-the-MSM-doesn’t-want-you-to-know tone, its plentiful supply of capital letters, and its leaps of logic don’t deserve as much time as I gave it. I’m posting this because it shows the level of discourse in some segments of the U.S., which is the most powerful military and economic power on the planet.

This note includes some memes that have been well propagated by the Wall Street Journal editorial page, among others, about the Iran nuke missile threat from Venezuela. The extreme over-blowing of this threat would be laughable if it weren’t becoming part of the conventional wisdom, and if that conventional wisdom didn’t have the possibility (probability?) of turning into escalating trade sanctions, covert action or a military strike, any of which would probably lead to friends of mine being killed for nothing. We’ve seen the same pattern before in Iran, Iraq, Panama, Nicaragua.

IN ORLANDO LAST WEEK, AT A CITGO STATION, REGULAR GAS WAS PRICED AT $2.82 PER GALLON, AND NO CUSTOMERS…

HOWEVER, ACROSS THE STREET FUEL WAS SELLING FOR $2.85 PER GALLON AND ALL PUMPS THERE HAD CARS WAITING TO FUEL UP. What’s going on? Word is getting around!!!!!

Sounds like one of them was giving away toasters. Gas brand boycotts never get many adherents and I doubt this one is any different.

Read on:

Have you noticed how the CITGO signs have disappeared in the past 7-8 months? A very clever move by Chavez. But guess what, “CITGO” IS CHANGING ITS NAME, too …
This is serious, Americans,….make sure you read this very carefully.

NEWS FLASH:

Hmm..I’d say this person’s been staring at too many FLASHy news items. Trust me: Chavez has nothing to do with day to day management of Citgo.

Chavez is NOW getting a Russian Weapons Factory built by Putin.

Putin is a remarkably well put-together older gentleman but no. He won’t be building the factory.

The RUSSIANS are building an AK-47Kalashnikov Assault Rifle factory in Venezuela, to give armament support to Communist Rebel groups throughout the Americas .

Russians are building an AK-103 Kalashnikov assault rifle factory in Venezuela. If the goal were to support communist rebel groups, I think the labors are about 50 years late. That said, new gun factories are never a good thing. Luckily, the plant was supposed to be done this year. I talked last year to an executive involved in the project who said construction hadn’t yet begun, two years after the announcement.

He has now offered a Venezuelan island to the Russians for use as a military base in the Western Hemisphere.

He said that Russian planes could refuel in Venezuela if needed. A Russian report, without naming sources, quoted someone saying that Venezuela had offered Russia an island. Chavez refuted that repeatedly, citing the constitutional ban on foreign bases in Venezuela. Not to say the guy is a great follower of the constitution, but come on…this isn’t something anyone could hide.

Chavez NOW has IRANIANS operating his oil refineries in Venezuela for him.

I haven’t heard that. It would be very odd, as Iran has inadequate oil refineries and hence probably has even less expertise than Venezuela in this field. And anyway, so what? Iranians are here building a cement mill, a bank, and a bicycle factory. They may, even, be working on nuclear weapons, insurgency training or other sketchy projects, but so far those who make these strong accusations haven’t gone public with any evidence.

It is likely only a matter of time, if not already, before Chavez has Iranian built LONG RANGE missiles, with a variety of warhead types aimed at: Guess Who?

Anything is possible, but given that Venezuela is far more dependent on the USA than the USA is on Venezuela, and that the country’s leaders recognize they can’t win a war with the U.S., is this really the most likely item on the shopping list? After all, it is likely ony a matter of time that John Caruso launches his Rick Astley satellite, permanently destroying the USA.

CITGO is NOW in the process of Changing Its Name to “PETRO EXPRESS” due to the loss of gasoline sales in the USA , due to the recent publicity of ownership by Chavez of Venezuela. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT because Chavez is starting to feel the loss of revenue from his holdings.. HE OWNS “CITGO”. This is a very important move that everyone should be aware of.

Petro Express is not owned by Citgo. It’s an independent franchise, like the rest of the Citgo service stations. Chavez doesn’t own Citgo, though he may at times act like he does.

ANNOUNCED JUST RECENTLY: “CITGO”, BEING AWARE THAT SALES ARE DOWN DUE TO U..S. CUSTOMERS NOT WANTING TO BUY FROM ‘CITGO-CHAVEZ’, HAVE STARTED TO CHANGE THE NAME OF SOME OF THEIR STORES TO: ‘PETRO EXPRESS’. DO NOT BUY FROM “PETRO EXPRESS” EITHER!!!

‘PETRO EXPRESS’ IS ALSO 100% OWNED BY “CHAVEZ..” KEEP THIS MEMO GOING SO THAT EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT IS HAPPENING.

BOTTOM LINE,– BOYCOTT “CITGO” & “PETRO EXPRESS” please!!

Petro Express is not owned by PDVSA, and much less by Chavez, with or without “quote marks.” Sales are down at all refining companies in the U.S., because people are unemployed and are driving less.

Citgo is a refining company, not a service station company. At any given gas station, you have no way of knowing if the fuel was refined by Citgo. If you want to reduce Citgo profits, stop buying motor fuel. I’m doing my part.

Setty, fortunately my email correspondents have stopped sending *most* of that kind of nonsense. There are real problems with Venezuela but most of the forwarders are clueless. Snopes.com helps.

Just a garden-variety kook. The sort that makes decent knuckle dragging conservatives, like myself, wince.

For the good stuff google Joseph Mendiola.

hmmm, it seems to have made the jump from the editorial page….
I think there is legitimate concern over this sort of thing and/or the availability of a “dirty bomb”. At one point a few years past, the US was checking less than 1/1000 of the containers imported into the country.

*I do agree with you regarding the REAL BIG FONT, that always helps in a pinch.

    Setty,

I share your concern. These paranoid national security fantasies in the US would indeed be hilarious if they weren’t so damn dangerous. I had a scary reminder of this just last week while I was listening to a panel of so called national security experts give a briefing in the US Congress. Of course, the Iran fear mongering was completely over the top, to the point where one speaker claimed that several indigenous tribes in Venezuela were becoming Islamic due to Iranian proselytizing.
