A note to senders of press releases

No.

No, I’m not interested in a guest post about your new infographic.

I’m not going to write a book review about your client’s new apocalyptic Christian screed.

Gay rights are groovy, but have you ever looked at this website? Thought not.

And while I find it amusing that the US Department of Defense visits this site almost daily, no. I don’t care that there are now US female submarine officers.

If you want your press release carried in news media, it would behoove you to look at those media first.

Have a nice day!

Hi CarlosElio, I wouldn’t go that far. I just find it bizarre to get so many press releases to this settysoutham addresses — meaning they must have gotten my address from the blog, or from someone who got it from the blog — but for whatever reason they can’t be bothered to notice that all the posts on here are about South American energy and natural resources, with very occasional diversions into politics, music, humour, etc. But submarine commanders?
