A truck bomb killed two people and injured 18 at a police station in Maicao, Colombia, near the Venezuela border. That’s the same municipality where BHP, Xstrata and Anglo American have their big Cerrejon coal mine.
It’s the second major bombing in the area this year. Saboteurs in March blew up a pipeline carrying natural gas to Venezuela.
This time, the news report is clear that there isn’t guerrilla activity in the area — a nice change. But then, who did it?
