This blog, as I say over there to the right, is for the stuff I can’t sell to the commercial press. Hence the lack of postings here this week — there’s been quite a bit of interest in the Chile mine rescue story, so I’ve lacked time and material to post here. But don’t worry. My final impressions will come out at some point. For now, suffice to say that if you get trapped a half-mile underground in Chile, and your family members know how to raise a stink, you have a chance of surviving. That is very cool. It would be even cooler if mine owners stopped burying people. Onward!
